Overview
Personal profile
I hold a degree in petroleum engineering from the University of America, a Master's degree in Environmental Management from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, and am currently a doctoral candidate in Environmental and Rural Studies from the same university. My research has focused on the conservation of strategic ecosystems such as páramos based on the livelihoods of peasant communities, and on water governance and management in Indigenous territories under the influence of global change. Therefore, my research interests focus on the conservation and environmental management of aquatic ecosystems, working with both Indigenous and peasant communities, and analyzing global change phenomena such as climate variability, land-use changes, and demographic change. Furthermore, through my own research and participation as a research assistant on other projects, I have acquired skills in statistical, content, and prospective analysis, as well as in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). In addition, I have excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork.
