    Dr. Andrés Felipe Vieira is a dentist, graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá in 1992, with a specialization in Periodontology obtained at the same institution in 1996. With a solid professional career spanning over three decades, he has developed his career both in private practice and in the academic and research fields, serving as a faculty member in the postgraduate periodontology program since 1999 at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. He is an honorary member of the Colombian Association of Periodontology and Osseointegration and the Ecuadorian Academy of Periodontology. Additionally, he is an active member of national and international organizations such as the Javeriana Dentists Association, SEPA (European Federation of Periodontology), ITI (International Team for Implantology), and the Colombian Association of Periodontology and Osseointegration (ACPO), of which he was president from 2017 to 2023. He has been a speaker at both national and international conferences and has worked as a scientific advisor at the pharmaceutical laboratory Farpag since 2005. He has also taught at several institutions, including Universidad del Bosque, Universidad Javeriana, and Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia, where he has published various papers and conducted research projects in the areas of implantology, biomaterials, bone regeneration, and treatment of periodontal and peri-implant diseases. Moreover, his interest in histological analysis and in vitro testing highlights his scientific approach, demonstrating his commitment to the advancement of periodontology and dentistry in general.
