    Overview

    Personal profile

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Dietetics and Nutrition from Universidad Mayor de San Simón (Bolivia) and a Master's degree in Epidemiology, obtained through an international scholarship with institutions in Sweden and Belgium. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Epidemiology with the support of the NIHR-LATAM Scholarship, where I participate as an early career researcher, consolidating my academic training in an international and multidisciplinary environment. My main interest lies in nutritional epidemiology, with a particular focus on body composition, obesity, dietary patterns, and risk factors associated with non-communicable diseases. Before starting my doctoral training, I worked as an epidemiologist in a hospital in Bolivia, which allowed me to apply epidemiological tools in the clinical setting and gain direct insight into the challenges of public health in a local context. My goal is to continue developing research skills that will enable me to contribute to scientific knowledge in public health and generate evidence to support the prevention and control of health problems with regional impact.
