    Overview

    Personal profile

My academic trajectory has been defined by the intersection of geospatial algorithm analysis and high-performance computing. During my master's and doctoral research, I focused on developing robust computational methodologies for the distributed processing of complex datasets, with a particular interest in spatio-temporal data.

Currently, my work centers on the evolving fields of Geographic Information Science (GIS), Geoinformatics, and GeoAI, with a primary emphasis on the distributed processing of spatio-temporal data—specifically trajectory databases and satellite imagery. I specialize in leveraging high-performance cluster environments and advanced database indexing to manage and analyze large-scale geospatial information. My technical focus lies in distributed architectures and tools such as Scala and Apache Sedona.  For more information, visit: https://cs.ucr.edu/~acald013/
