Overview
Personal profile
Nutritionist Dietitian, Master of Biological Sciences and PhD student in Biological Sciences. My area of study focuses on inborn errors of small molecule metabolism, with an emphasis on galactosaemia, propionic acidemia, methylmalonic acidemia and urea cycle disorders. I have worked with genomic scale models as a tool to understand the pathophysiology of these diseases. I have also applied targeted metabolomics to explore possible relationships between diet, microbial metabolic activity, and host metabolism. Currently, I am interested in delving deeper into the field of untargeted metabolomics and the use of mixed studies, with the aim of addressing causality from a qualitative perspective. This approach seeks to broaden the scope of clinical analysis and contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of patient evolution.
