Personal profile

Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry of Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (PUJ), where he currently serves as Coordinator of the Doctoral Program in Materials Science and Technology. Leader of the Research Line in Environmental Technology and Materials at the Faculty of Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. and Master's degree in Chemistry from the National University of Colombia, with extensive experience in heterogeneous catalysis, environmental treatments, and materials science. He completed two postdoctoral fellowships: a two-year fellowship at the Institute of Materials Science of Seville (Spain), working on hydrogen production and purification, and a one-year fellowship at the National University of Colombia, focused on improving the reforming of heavy petroleum residues.

 

Throughout his career, he has published more than 30 articles in high-impact scientific journals, participated in more than 20 conferences (including 2 invited speaker engagements), and contributed one book chapter. Additionally, he has supervised 3 doctoral dissertations, 10 master's theses, and 22 undergraduate research projects, as well as mentored one postdoctoral researcher.
