    Overview

    Personal profile

Electronic Engineer, Master’s and PhD in Artificial Intelligence. Professor and researcher at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana since 2003. She is currently Director of UCollege Javeriano and Coordinator of the Javeriana Analytics Center (JAC) Project. She is a member of the research groups SIDRe (Intelligent Systems, Robotics and Perception) and Mimesis (Engineering Education).

Her work integrates artificial intelligence, robotics, and data analytics with educational transformation, curriculum design, and evidence-based decision-making. She has led academic innovation processes, international accreditation initiatives, and the development of institutional models for student support.

Within the framework of JAC, she coordinates the design of predictive models, early warning systems, and learning analytics initiatives — such as SATIS — aimed at strengthening flexible learning pathways, student retention, and intelligent academic management.

Her work contributes especially to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

SDG 4 – Quality Education: development of adaptive learning ecosystems, academic analytics, and early intervention models.

SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure: application of artificial intelligence and robotics to address industrial and social challenges.

SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities: design of data-driven strategies to promote inclusion, retention, and equity in higher education.

SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals: interinstitutional collaboration among academia, industry, and the public sector in technological innovation projects.

She integrates approaches related to ethics in artificial intelligence, data governance, and responsible digital transformation, aligned with global megatrends in higher education and technological development.
