"Background in peace studies, gender, and critical pedagogy. I hold a Master's degree (Magistra) in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution and a Bachelor's degree (Licenciada) in Modern Languages, both from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
Currently, my doctoral research focuses on Afro-descendant women's organizations and their role as counter-pedagogies against the dynamics of new wars. My previous research includes studies on violence and gender in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) acquisition and peace education through artistic languages."
