    Professional since more 20 years ago. Expertise in teaching, diagnosis and research in Microbiology, with emphasis in human, animal infectious diseases and zoonoses.

    From Unidad de Investigaciones Agropecuarias (UNIDIA) in epidemiology and animal health line, during the last 10 years, the zoonoses study had been around to One Health concept, where human health, animal health and enviromental health are just one, specially, why all species lives in same planet. Along with this, the approach to this infectious diseases tends to tends to achieve the sustainable development goals 2 (Zero hunger), 3 (Good health and well-being), 6 (Clean water and sanitation) and 12 (Responsible consumption).

    Under these precepts, during six years has led Semillero de Enfermedades Infecciosas Veterinaria y Zoonosis, with its four action lines:

    • Diagnosis of infectious diseases in domestic animals and zoonoses.
    • Zoonoses and wildlife.
    • Livestock industrial sector.
    • Social contribution of knowledge.

    In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
