Personal profile
PhD Candidate in Social and Human Science at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, with a Master's degree in History from the same institution. Holds a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design from Politécnico Grancolombiano, a Technical degree in Fashion Design and Marketing from Escuela Arturo Tejada Cano, and a Technological degree in Film and Photography from Corporación Universitaria UNITEC. Her interdisciplinary background brings together social science, design, and visual arts, shaping an academic profile that integrates creation, research, and critical thinking. Since 2020, she has led the research group Fashion, Communication, and Sustainability, promoting projects that explore the relationship between fashion, sustainability, body, and gender. Her research, emphasis on situated knowledge and participatory methodologies, has been presented at national and international academic and scientific events. In parallel, she has developed projects in television and film, which have allowed her to deepen her perspective on the intersections between image, fashion, and culture, contributing a critical and aesthetic lens to the field of creative industries. Currently, as part of her doctoral research, she works from an autoethnographic perspective to rethink fashion as a space of memory, diversity, and inclusion, questioning the extractive logics of the system and proposing sustainable and culturally rooted alternatives.
