    Angela María Torres Mejía has been affiliated with Pontificia Universidad Javeriana since 2021 and, since 2024, serves as a tenured faculty member under the Planta Catedráticos category in the Department of Communication and Language, within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. She teaches in the Reading, Writing, and Orality (LEO) courses and has a particular interest in conducting research in the fields of academic literacy, educational communication, and active teaching methodologies.

    She has led pedagogical projects focused on reading, writing, and academic speaking in higher education. She has served as course coordinator, teacher trainer, and advisor in educational innovation processes.

    Professor Torres Mejía's main research interests include academic literacy, pedagogical experience design, academic writing, and critical thinking. She is also interested in the intersection between education, cognitive sciences, and strategic communication.

    She is currently exploring the use of educational game design as a strategy to support the teaching of academic writing skills.
