Se abordan problemas complejos aplicados de las industrias para apoyar a la toma de decisiones, el objetivo es crear modelos o algoritmos para encontrar la solución óptima frente a un objetivo. Las principales herramientas es la modelación matemática y la inteligencia artificial. De forma general, se optimizan sistemas que quieren administrar recursos escasos para lograr fines específicos. Como ejemplo de algunos problemas que hemos tratado son: gestión de inventarios, ruteo de vehículos, programación de proyectos, programación de tareas, asignación de personal, logística, entre otros.
