Organization profile

The undergraduate research group on Risk and Geoenvironmental Disasters pursues education in engineering research for the analysis of geoenvironmental risk and the prevention of natural and human-driven disasters. The group aims to provide students with tools and exposure to research projects on geoenvironmental risk, and seeks to promote horizontal and vertical integration between undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and other collaborators. The group welcomes students and faculty interested in geoenvironmental risk problems, including analysis of the impact of natural hazards (e.g., floods, landslides, earthquakes), and stability of soil and waste storage structures of various types. The group is open to students at all levels, i.e., undergraduate, masters and doctoral.
