One of the most used tools in the design of manufacturing, supply chain and logistics systems, including warehouse management, are analytical, heuristic and metaheuristic methods.Currently there are results of research carried out at the university, in companies such as Oma, Alpina, Compensar, among others, for which tools have been designed for decision-making in production and logistics problems, based on the implementation of heuristic and metaheuristic methods, obtaining significant improvements with respect to the decision-making methodologies used by each company.This seedbed proposes to explore the application of Operations Research in the area of ​​production and logistics for two reasons: i) the relevance and relevance of this line of research in the academic community and ii) the possibility of participating in the construction of solutions for local problems (iii) promoting the use of tools for decision making in small and medium-sized companies.
