One of the most widely used tools in the design of manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics systems, including warehouse management, are analytical, heuristic, and metaheuristic methods. Currently, there are results of research carried out at the university, in companies such as Oma, Alpina, Compensar, among others, for which tools have been designed for decision-making in production and logistics problems, based on the implementation of heuristic and metaheuristic methods, obtaining significant improvements with respect to the decision-making methodologies used by each company.
