The objective of the seedbed is to develop research competencies in health by encouraging the active participation of its members in research projects that address interdisciplinary problems related to the prescription of physical exercise for physical conditioning or sports training, including topics related to a healthy lifestyle. The members of the seedbed are students of the Faculty of Medicine and the Physical Education program of the Faculty of Education and graduates of the Faculties of Medicine and the Nutrition and Dietetics Program of the Faculty of Sciences. The tutor of the seedbed is Manuel Cárdenas, Professor of the Department of Physiological Sciences of the Faculty of Medicine and the co-tutors are Julio Bermúdez, Specialist in Sports Medicine of the Center for Psychological Counseling and Health and Christian Zea, Professor of the Department of Industrial Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering.
