The interest in creating a seedbed with this theme is to allow students and faculty of the School of Medicine to have a space for research and knowledge that addresses the main advances and impacts of AI in the sciences, as it has improved in various fields the diagnosis and treatment of patients, directly impacting their quality of life and reducing health care costs. To have an academic space that allows, hand in hand with experts, to discuss how the future of these areas will be affected by the increasing use of AI technologies. In addition to a focus primarily on basic science research and clinical applications, we seek to hold conferences with specialists in topics related to artificial intelligence and biotechnology, as well as topic updates by students.
