The Institute of Bioethics is an academic unit of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, attached to the Faculty of Philosophy. It was founded in 1997 and is oriented to research, teaching and consulting in the field of bioethics. Its work is applied to the examination of numerous ethical and political problems that arise in the clinical, public health and environmental fields.
