This hotbed will focus on two areas of study: (i) Corporate Law and (ii) Mergers and acquisitions of companies.The objective of the seedbed is to provide practical and theoretical training to students, as well as lawyers and professors who decide to participate in this project.In addition, it will be divided into several areas of study to allow specialized research in each one and to promote broad knowledge.We will focus on presenting different types of content, from papers to basic guides and opinion articles.Likewise, we have the objective of being a means of contact between students and Javerian lawyers who want to dedicate themselves or are devoting themselves to these topics in their professional life.Additionally, we will plan different academic events in which important aspects related to these fields will be discussed.
The lines of research that the seedbed works on are:
• Research in Company Law: oriented to research on the corporate law regime at the local and international level, including but not limited to the rules on the constitution, existence and termination of corporate forms, as well as all matters related to their corporate management, financing, and responsibility of directors.
• Research in Company Operations: oriented to the investigation of transformation operations, reorganization, merger, acquisition, integration, spin-off, bankruptcy and para-bankruptcy restructuring, dissolution and extra-bankruptcy and bankruptcy liquidation.
