The Aquasistemas research group aims to promote scientific study and research culture in aquatic ecosystems, both freshwater and marine-coastal. It is open to projects proposed and developed by students under the guidance of advisors and with the help of other students. Students can also participate in existing projects. The focus is on both practical (field-based) and theoretical learning. In addition to research activities, the group also conducts divulgation activities organized through different committees for better coordination. Each semester, active students formulate a timeline together with the professor outlining the activities to be carried out.
